Arriving at Alone, one immediately notices a group of buildings detached from the rest of the medieval nucleus. It is the house where the Vicinia council met, composed of all the heads of families during the Venetian era, and later by the Municipality until 1928, when it became part of the municipality of Casto.
The original public function of the building is evidenced by the presence of the Venetian state emblem, the Lion of St. Mark, and the local emblem, the coat of arms of the municipality of Alone, both frescoed on the southern façade overlooking the valley.
The frescoes were masterfully restored thanks to the efforts of Professor Alberto Rizzi of Venice, who also acquired the property of the building.
The dating of the frescoes is most likely 1619, as indicated by the inscription found on the doorframe of the entrance. During the restoration of the building, which has been used as a school, a cheese factory, and later a warehouse since 1928, a large 16th-century fresco depicting Justice was uncovered on an internal wall. Justice is represented holding a sword and scales.
